The Church at Rancho Bernardo has a deep appreciation for the arts and has created the CRB Arts Institute to offer lessons within the arts to encourage those who have been gifted with artistic talent.
Did you ever want to just “sing your heart out” for God? Worship choir is just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.We want as many of you as we can to join us on certain Sundays to help lead CRB in praise and worship to our amazing God. This is all that you have to do: Sign up to sing in either the 9am, 11am service OR if you’d like, you can sign up for BOTH!! You may be thinking, "I don’t have time to commit to rehearsing during the week". NO PROBLEM! You’ll be given a CD with the songs we are going to be doing. Practice during the week while you are sitting in traffic, dropping the kids off at school - you can practice wherever / whenever you’d like! What a deal! WORSHIP CHOIR SCHEDULE
is for those who want to go deeper musically and being a part of this group means committing to a 6-8 week rehearsal schedule and then performing during our Christmas Season (and for the spring, during our Easter Season). This group is going to be doing challenging pieces of music, so when you sign up, you are committing to being at every rehearsal and performance. No Auditions Required.
CONCERT CHOIR SCHEDULE
Our CRB Gospel Choir is designed for singers (Junior High, High School and 20'somethings) who want to bump it up a notch. This group is led by Leonard Tucker and will take you to a musical mountain top. In addition to performing periodically at CRB, this group will also perform out in our community. GOSPEL CHOIR SCHEDULE
This choir called Joyful Praise is designed for older adults interested in being part of a fun, caring, and energetic family who share a love for music. No audition is necessary and no formal musical experience is required. Rehearsals are every Thursday, 7-9pm. What a great way to plug in, worship, and serve. Comedy Coffee House at the Cove - Saturday October 23 at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm following the service. Featuring CRB's own improv troupe, The Comedy Relief Brigade. Tickets are $5 each and include coffee, drinks, and desserts.
Workshops for actors, directors, writers and anyone curious about theatre. The purpose of the CRB Drama Ministry is to be courageous, real, truthful, professional and believable in an imaginary world. Through a safe environment actors will have the opportunity to stretch. experiment, learn, trust and develop their gifts for God's glory. Performance opportunities TBD and may include CRB church services, ministry groups, neighborhood churches, schools, military bases and senior communities. Ages 15+ welcome. The Acting Worskshop with White Collar's Tim DeKay has been rescheduled until Fall.
Director, Connie Cragel LePere is a native of suburban Detroit and a graduate of Michigan State University. Connie performed in local Detroit theatres before moving to San Diego in 1993 to work with the Lamb's Players Touring Company, the educational outreach of Lamb's Players Theatre. Since the mid-1990's Connie has continued to periodically act in theatre, industrial films, commercials and television. Connie enjoys directing and writing church productions and believes that God can use theatre to touch a person's heart and mind in profound ways.
Is your child a natural “ham?” Do they love to sing or dance? CRB offers amazing opportunities to channel and develop these talents in professionally produced Broadway musicals. Some past musicals include Annie, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Disney's 101 Dalmations and Sound of Music. Your child will experience the excitement of performing on stage while gaining invaluable lessons in teamwork, confidence, and perseverance. Children in 1st-8th grade participate in a fall musical. Junior High and High School students present a spring musical. A Summer Theatre Arts camp is offered in the summer. We would love to help develop your child’s talents!
