IGNITE COMMUNITY GROUP STUDY - "JADED"
Starts Sunday, September 19, 7pm at The Cove
All of us have experienced some level of pain when our idealism about life intersects with harsh reality. The collision leaves many young adults wounded and jaded, facing life with bitterness and cynicism rather than hope in God. Author Mike Harder knows what it’s like to get caught in the cycle of cynicism all too well, but he also knows what it’s like to find refuge in hope at the other end.

Jaded offers a safe environment for vulnerable sharing as young adults learn the truth about idealism vs. reality, identify pain from past emotional and spiritual wounding, recognize how God can use that pain to move us closer to Him, choose hope in Christ rather than bitterness, and ultimately discover how to become a giver of hope to others. There is renewed optimism for the idealist and healing for the cynic. This seven-session Bible study will encourage us to re-engage God, life, and reality as, together, we search for the hope that’s waiting for us. Want more info? Contact ignite@thechurchatrb.org

UPCOMING MIDWEEK GROUP STUDY - "THE ME I WANT TO BE"
Starts Wednesday, October 6, 7pm at the Meissners home in Poway

If God has a perfect vision for your life, why does spiritual growth seem so difficult?  Pastor and author John Ortberg has some intriguing answers to that question, and he has organized his thoughts and God's words into a straightforward guide for living your best life in The Me I Want to Be.

In this study, Ortberg urges you to recognize your brokenness, understand that God is the project manager, and follow His directions. The author first helps gauge your spiritual health and measure the gap between where you are now and where God intends you to be. Then he provides detailed tasks and exercises to help you live in the flow of the Spirit, circumventing real-world barriers—pain and sorrow, temptations, self-doubt, sin—to flourish even in a dark and broken world. A 7-week, church-wide study. For more information, directions, contact ignite@thechurchatrb.org or sue@thechurchatrb.org.

"The most important task of your life is not what you do, but who you become."  - John Ortberg
