How does this idea impact your faith structure? What holds you back from doing likewise? What did the story of Marua reveal and teach you about discipleship outside of your comfort zone?
2. In the 7/14/23 entry, The Hospitality of God, our missionaries from the U.K., Daniel and Tamara Jackson, shared about their ministry of ‘welcome’ in their community. How do you feel when ‘welcome’ is expressed to you? How has God shown that He welcomes you? What kind of things happen in the body of Christ that express a ‘not welcome’ message? As a Go First leader, how could you be different - the vessel of the hospitality of God - and make His church one that welcomes everyone?

Scriptures: Psalm 63:1-8
Pastor Jared made a differentiation between being made for intimacy with God versus being made for information of God. Have you been filled with wonder and experience over information? Share a moment in your life when you’ve tasted and seen His goodness.
“God doesn’t work within the confines of rationality.” Did you learn this the easy way or the hard way? Is this something you’re still learning? Why or why not?
Pastor Jared gave us three practical ways to press in like David. Love over life, transcendence over reverence, and discipline over desire. Which seems to be the easiest for you? Which is the most challenging?
Read Psalm 63:8. How can we develop a trust like David? What seems to be the barrier of your full reliance on the Lord?
When was the last time you curled up in the lap of God? Journaled? Spent time undivided with Him?

Pray
Pray over our 37 High School students, and 7 staff/volunteers who are up at Forest Home Camp in the San Bernardino Mountains this week. This year’s theme is The Pixelated Life: Just as pixels make up a picture, these moments make us who we are in God’s picture for us. Pray for everyone’s safety and health, for meaningful connections to be made, and that each one meets Jesus in a fresh new way and comes down the mountain determined to walk in step with him as they journey through their high school years and beyond.
